FAQs

Why do you teach 4 strokes at once?

Teaching all four strokes together encourages quicker adaptation and skill development. Similar to how a child can learn multiple languages more easily at a young age, the brain is more adaptable when exposed to diverse movements and techniques simultaneously. This approach builds muscle memory and coordination across all strokes, helping swimmers become more versatile and confident in the water.

How will my child get assessed?

We conduct official assessments once a term by a teacher, and they are assessed at all times throughout the term.

What happens if my child can do skills at different levels?

Our focus is to develop all skills irrespective of starting point. This means working on new techniques, whilst still maintaining and refining the skills they can do well.

What’s the best age to start?

Our philosophy is “The sooner the better, and it’s never too late”. The majority of students who start at a very young age will master the water and be able to navigate pools on their own before long. We encourage lessons to start as early in a childs development sometimes children, as they get older, experience anxiety and emotional obstacles. As a child grows and becomes a teenager or an adult, they will often find that it is more of a struggle to learn to swim because of the mental hurdles they must overcome. However, an open mind, commitment and expert coaching often leads to great success.

How many lessons are in a term?

Lessons per term depend on the regular school terms and will vary each year.
